Joey Medina, star of The Latin Kings of Comedy, and the Salesian Boys & Girls Clubs of Los Angeles has made a limited number of free tickets available to Santa Monica College students for the Cholo Comedy Slam: Stand Up And Lean Back on Thursday, November 5, 2009.

The entertainment line up include six well known, talented Latino Comics: Emilio Rivera, Aurelio Bocanegra, Beny Mena, DJ Cooch, Gilbert Esquivel and Martin Moreno. The celebrity host line up includes Noel G (Street Kings, Training Day), Jacob Vargas (Bobby, Traffic, Mi Vida Loca, Selena), Down aka Kilo (Hit song, "Lean Like A Cholo), Kid Frost (Godfather of Chicano Rap), Mr. Capone-E (Hip Hop Artist) and Jesse Garcia (Quinceanera, The Comebacks). The show includes live musical performances from Down aka Kilo "Lean Like a Cholo" and Frankie J, Booda "The Weekend" with DJ Lady Tribe Spinning Live.

The night of fun and laughter will take place at the Million Dollar Theater, 307 South Broadway Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90013. The Red Carpet Arrivals are at 7:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Salesian Boys and Girls Clubs of Los Angeles. The Boys and Girls Club provides haven for children of Los Angeles to escape the perils of the streets.

For students that can afford to purchase tickets for the event, they are available at Ticketmaster for $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door.
